what my family thinks about me and boys-yippee

so my family
got to love them
they are crazy
and lets just say due to the title is that they have an opinion on my current relationship status
which is single
mind you my boyfriend and i of one month - its a record-i know sad-just broke up about two weeks ago
i'm fine and we are back to being good friends
but my family thinks that just because i cant seem to acquire a relationship with a guy -i think- that they think something is wrong with me
which i'm totally sure

ok but heres the gist
i have had technically three boyfriends
kissed two boys
only one of which was a technical boyfriend- long story
and sure they all ended fairly quickly but i dont care, i lived and learned from them
and now they are all good friends with me
except that first kiss guy.....yeah

but anyway my family being a huge and i mean HUGE part of my life thinks that just because i'm not in a commited relationship that i feel that they think there is something wrong with me.

mind you i'm only 17. i'm very new to this whole dating thing. i have been hurt so why go thru it again. and besides usually it just ends badly or most of the time it ends where were friends. and i guess i'm a decent girl. i just have no experience in this field. the more i try things the better i am. and i have not had many chances to try stuff in this department.

so heres what my family thinks about what i should do about my boy dilemma (mind you most of these assumptions on what i should do are thought up by my brother. and my brother being the normal older brother he is, is a bit mean) so heres what they think i should do

1st- i should be lesbian
2nd- i should become a nun
3rd- i should be the crazy cat lady that knits all the time

here are my problems on these assumptions

1st one- lesbian
let me just start by saying that i love gay people and i have nothing against them.i think its fine to find love whether it be with the opposite or same sex. its love no matter what. any who...... i cant be lesbian! i just cant! my brothers rational with coming up with this idea is that since i have no luck with guys i should try the other team. i would honestly rather hang out with guys. they are so much more fun and all the time really genuine. girls are mean! i like the differences in guys and girls. opposites attract :)

2nd one- nun
no way! ok i'm religious but i'm christian not catholic (and i'm not those christians that say your going to hell if you dont believe the same as we do. were laid back.) i could never kneel all day and be so commited to something. i'm pretty sure i have some small form of ADD or ADHD so i my attention span wouldnt be that long. i'd get bored very very quickly

3rd one- crazy cat lady that knits all the time
ok this one only recently came up because i just recently- as in today- took up knitting to keep my hands busy. and knitting is fun and all but i couldnt do it all day. and i hate cats. ok well i dont hate them i just very much prefer dogs. they are loyal and loving and will never leave you alone. and they are soft and adorable. and come in all sizes. and oddly enough when i think of the crazy cat lady i get an image of the crazy cat lady on the simpsons that launches her cats at you. and i dont want to be her. do you know the ammount of upper body strength that takes to launch those cats so far? lol. i'd go crazy

so heres what my family thinks
and i think they are mean- ok well mostly my brother- and wrong
i will find my prince charming-hopefully- one day-maybe
and i will show them!

and have amazing biceps from launching cats at people

Disney is a liar

let me just start by saying that i am a romantic
and then let me say the title of this thing

its a liar

as a kid growing up with all the disney princesses. i always wanted to belle or arial or mulan because
first- they werent blonde. (haha)
second- they werent the damsel in distress. they went out and got their prince. instead of sleeping beauty, jasmine, snow white or that one odette chick who just sat there like a bunch of frogs waiting to be kissed. i mean come on! you have to love mulan. she fights off a pack of huns to save her empire. shes pretty BA!
so i'm dreaming about my prince or well guy that would sweep me off my feet and onto his white horse and we would ride off into the sunset. and live happily ever after! the end.

so whats the problem with this story
IT NEVER HAPPENS
at least not to me
not to alot of people
so why do they put these images into little girls head that when they are teenagers they'll find their true love and ride off into the sunset

dont get me wrong i love watching disney princess movies when im down. but they just give you false hope.
its saying that the very first guy you meet that you get the butterflies for will be your prince charming, prince eric, prince philip, flynn rider, aladdin, or shrek.

when really that never works out
so why are we doing this?
why are we telling kids the easter bunny and santa clause are real? (ohh yeah i just blew that one out of the water. if you didnt know, its your mom or dad or legal guardian or whom ever cares for you. not a giant bunny.)
i have no idea!

things that happen like that are few and far between. the first guy you fall for will 99.9999999999999% (thats one in........ hold on......... one in quadrillion chance)of the time will not fall for you as well, and all your left to is just secretly facebook stalking him. (ok i only facebook stalk when i'm bored)
so why do we have this obsession with prince charming? and having him be the first one ever. its all because of disney and there freaking adorable singing bunnies and really hot princes. (i've always had a fantasy about some foreign prince finding me and talking me back to his kingdom).

so lets stop putting this story into our heads when it doesnt ever work!
i doesnt stop with disney. have you seen some adult movies? they are all just like an adult disney movie. boy meets girl. they fall madly inlove. have some difficulties (magic spell, no voice, evil stepmother). botta bing botta boom. everything is solved and they ride off into the sunset. and its a rap.

lets get a different story line please!
i'm getting tired of our unoriginality.
how about some challenges and triumps and THEN find mr right or prince charming?
what about that.

this fickel weather! / break up week

what is up with this weather!
i mean seriously! the first two days it was GORGEOUS! and then it was complete down pour. and now suddenly its niceish. the old saying is "april showers bring may flowers". but what is this? may showers bring june flowers? thats not right!
come on! i want to break out the sundresses and its making me wear jeans that i'm so tired of! blarg!



any way so this week was decent
my boyfriend and i of just over a month broke up, wait let me check the calendar on my phone...... ok 37 days. which is pretty good i guess. well not really since people i know have been going out for years. wow that takes commitment! like my brother (DARN HIM) and his girlfriend (who i adore) will have been dating for THREE yes THREE years in october! isnt that crazy! they survived their first year of college and they are STILL  a couple.
i on the other hand am not as lucky.
i try and fail alot.
i learn things the hard way. unfortunantly.

anyway it was weird for the first few days with out him since we usually spend lunch together but now were talking again and its just like old times when we were just friends :) but what was nice since he is kind of a big guy, all of those annoying guys that try to flirt with me left me alone because they were scared of him. it was great! i half wanted to show i mean have him meet that one annoying kid that i mentioned about in my first blog, so the annoying kid would know not to annoy me any more because there would be *bleep* to pay! ha ha!
we just found out we didnt have any chemistry which is an odd thing to tell a person, let me just tell you that!
anyway i have determined this week as "break up week" because alot of people i know are breaking up. ive only seen one couple get together. one of my best friends and her boyfriend. me and alex. maria schriver and arnold schwarzenegger. i mean what they heck!

apparently this happens all the time. two weeks after prom and people realize that the person they took to prom wasnt exactly who they thought they were and just sort of wanted them for a date and not anything more.so they break up. sad really. but many of those people are going off to college and who wants to be held down by a relationship that just sort of started because you didnt want to be the only person with out a date.part of the reason why we broke up.

relationships are hard.
 let me just tell you that.
the longest legitimate relationship i've had was this just recent one and the one before that was exactly 28 days. woohoo i improved by 9 more days with this guy.
i guess i was going out with nick for three months in 7th grade. but we didnt do anything. we just sat on the bus together. i think he might have bought me my ticket to my first middle school dance. i still havent paid him back.... maybe i should do that some day....

i dont understand people who have had like 15 different girlfriends/boyfrineds. that just doesnt make sense! first off- how they heck do you get all those people to like you! oh wait i just thought of it ......ewwww!
second-how do you put your heart into a relationship when youve done it many other times with other people.
third-why do you break up and then go onto another person. wouldnt being in a bad relationship deter you from going into another.

i dont know! i dont get it! its just confusing!

some random stuff

so as you may or may not have noticed from this blog this is about random stuff
so lets start
1- i enjoy the smell of rain. its life in a drop of water
2- i despise yes despise the "it kids". even though sometimes i wish i was them. and i wish i had their hair. i still despise them.
3- i think that sex is way overated. i am a virgin so i wouldnt know and i plan to be that way for a while(as in until i'm married). but people that revolve their lives around losing their virginity just to fit in... ARE PATHETIC. if you have nothing better to do in your life besides get it on with someone you obviously have a lame life. do something else. besides your girlfriend/boyfriend.lol
4-i WAS a hopeless romantic. now im not. long story...
5-i think first and second graders(specifically mine or well former mine(i just ended my field experience for teacher cadet today)) are some of the sweetest most genuine individuals.
6- green is my favorite color. its the color of life. its the most beautiful color in the entire world! dont argue :)
7- religious nuts kinda piss me off. keep your religion to your self. i will believe what i want to you and you do that same. i applaud those who have a strong belief but please PLEASE dont preach it to me.i mean i'm religious and everything but i keep it to myself. its one of the two things i dont like to talk about. religion and politics. just dont go shove your religion in my face. thank you
8- i only started this blog because bailey introduced me to it and i kinda wanted to do the same.
9- i've always had a facination with sunshine. when i was little my nick name was "little miss mary sunshine" because i was a morning person. sunlight travels millions of miles to reach our planet just for all of us life forms living on it. we should at least appreciate it :)
10- when i grow up i want to get a chameleon and name it zephyr which means either a type of airy fabric or the god of the west wind or an array of things. i just  think its a cool name. and yes the partial reson why i want to acquire a chameleon is because i love the movie tangled. and yes pascal is a cute name but i dont want to copy.
